New Cat MH3295 Material Handler Delivers

New Cat® MH3295 Material Handler delivers high production in port and large scrapyard applications

  • Extended reach: 18 m (59.1 ft) reach for maximum working range.
  • Smart technology: Cat® Payload, 2D E-fence, and swing assist systems help deliver optimum production and jobsite efficiency.
  • Operator comfort: Premium Plus cab with fixed cab riser, offering 360˚ visibility and floor windows for enhanced safety and comfort.
Built to deliver the long reach required for barge loading/unloading and large scrapyard applications, the new Cat® MH3295 Material Handler will feature a dedicated swing pump for smooth, coordinated movement and a wide track undercarriage for optimum stability and performance. Electrohydraulic controls plus advanced Caterpillar technologies help boost productivity on jobs that demand high performance.
“The new MH3295 Material Handler is based on the rugged and reliable Cat 395 Excavator platform, sharing common service parts, but features a purpose-built design for the demands of large scrapyard and port applications to offer consistent operation,” said Vincent Migeotte, senior global product consultant for Caterpillar. “Plus, standard technologies like Swing Assist, Cat Payload and 2D E-fence help operators to work more efficiently and safely. The new design of the MH3295 is about elevating jobsite performance and delivering long-lasting durability and value.”

High Performance

The new material handler features an 18 m (59.1 ft) reach plus two counterweight configurations to match jobsite conditions. Its wide, 4.8 m (15.7 ft) track gauge retracts to 4.1 m (13.5 ft) for simplified transport. The 7.2 m (23.6 ft) track length delivers smooth, stable operation at extended reach. Powered by a 405 kW (543 hp) Cat C18 engine meeting U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emission standards, the machine delivers reliable performance up to 3,000 m (9,840 ft) without derating. Three selectable power modes—Power, Smart, and Eco—help operators balance performance with fuel savings. Advanced electrohydraulic systems ensure precise control, while SmartBoom™ technology allows the boom to travel freely without pump flow so operators can focus on stick and attachment movements.

Integrated Technologies

Cat Payload assists with accurate load targets and production tracking, while Swing Assist automatically stops rotation at preset points, reducing fuel use and improving cycle times. VisionLink™ provides fleet managers with actionable data on hours, location, idle time, and fuel use. Remote Troubleshoot and Remote Flash minimize downtime and allow efficient software updates without technician presence.

Premium Cab

The fixed cab riser provides 360° visibility with floor windows for safer loading. The Premium Plus cab features slim pillars, large windows, and multiple camera views to enhance operator awareness. Rear entry with enclosed stairways and integrated lighting improves access, while wide walkways ensure safe movement during service. Inside, operators benefit from an adjustable wide seat, intuitive 10-inch touchscreen monitor, and productivity apps. Standard cab avoidance assists prevent work tool/cab contact, automatic climate control maintains comfort, and multiple storage areas accommodate gear. USB ports and Bluetooth® connectivity are included as standard.
