FTH Hire Group is a family-run UK plant and tool hire company specialising in mini digger hire, mini excavator rental and construction equipment hire. With a fleet of more than 800 excavators across its network, we offer equipment for domestic landscaping, groundworks, drainage installation, foundation excavation, earthmoving and commercial construction.

Our excavator range spans 0.8-tonne micro diggers through to 13-tonne machines, giving customers options for restricted-access sites and larger excavation projects. Selected compact models feature a retracted track width of just 750 mm, making them suitable for sites with narrow gates and limited working space.

Our fleet includes equipment from recognised manufacturers such as Kubota, Hitachi, Cat, Thwaites and Yanmar. We aim to maintain a modern fleet, with plant typically replaced every 18–21 months.

With 19 hire hubs across our network, we provide local support, flexible hire periods and convenient delivery options. Eligible bookings placed before 12:30 pm may qualify for next-day delivery, subject to availability and location.

We aim to make hiring plant and equipment straightforward by helping customers identify suitable machinery for their projects. Customers should assess site access, ground conditions, machine dimensions, digging requirements and underground services before hiring. Equipment must be operated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable health and safety requirements.
