About Telsmith
Astec Industries has announced that it will cease all production activity at its Telsmith Inc. manufacturing facility in Mequon, Wisconsin. Manufacturing at the plant will end on August 14th, 2020, and the facility will be permanently closed by March 31st, 2021.

The decision to close Telsmith was driven by the desire to simplify and focus business units, develop product lines on a company-wide basis, and maximise efficiencies.

The Telsmith product lines will still be developed and manufactured at other Astec locations. Customers will still be able to purchase new equipment and be supported with parts and service through the Astec direct and dealer channels. Astec Industries acquired Telsmith in 1987 from the Barber-Green company.
