NATIONAL HIRER GOES GREEN FOR THE NSPCC AND THE ENVIRONMENT
One of the country’s leading specialist hirers of telescopic handlers has welcomed a unique machine into its fleet – an electric JCB Loadall with distinctive livery.
The JCB 525-60E electric Loadall was built from scratch by 36 JCB apprentices to raise money for the company’s Platinum Jubilee NSPCC Appeal.
Now the splendid machine has been officially handed over and is being pressed into service by Vp UK Forks. The company placed the winning bid for the impressive Loadall in an auction during JCB’s Platinum Jubilee NSPCC Appeal. It was given its special look thanks to 20 pupils from two Stoke-on-Trent schools, whose handprints were incorporated into in a special vinyl wrap on the bonnet.
Shayne Wright, Managing Director of Vp UK Forks said: “The auction of the JCB 525-60E gave Vp UK Forks the perfect opportunity to invest in the great charitable work of the NSPCC while growing our fleet of zero emission machines. As a Group, we have committed to reduce our emissions in line with 1.5˚C global warming targets and to become net-zero by 2050 at the latest. Innovations such as the JCB 525-60E will be an important contribution towards that target.”
The handover of the machine, which took place at dealer TC Harrison JCB’s Derbyshire facility, was attended by Rosie Murden, NSPCC Schools Coordinator for Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire.
She said: “It is wonderful to see this uniquely decorated machine and the schoolchildren have created a brilliant design. We’d like to thank Vp UK Forks for their generous winning bid on the machine and JCB for its fundraising support over the last four decades. Every child deserves to grow up in a safe and caring environment, and thanks to partnerships and donations like this, we can be there to help young people and families across the UK when they need us most.”
